Inspired by actual events on the real Restoration Farm, Green Grass, Still Waters explains the nuances of Psalm 23 to children based on insight from a 21st century shepherd. Woolfred Lamb tells his self-reliant friend Dotty Spot why he chooses to trust and follow Shepherd. The story is told while illuminating concepts of Psalm 23, describing the experience of following Jesus through all circumstances of life. ... charming use of classic storytelling brings true warmth and love of the passage to the level a child can appreciate and grasp. As a father I would love to read this book to my children; as a pastor I appreciate the theological accuracy Kelli is able to maintain. Ben Bogardus Pastor, Harvest Church in Cody, Wyoming What a wonderful story of God's unfailing love for us! Ideal for adults and children! It reminds me of the hymn. 'Savior Like a Shepherd Lead Us'. Susan Merritt, MEd Lafayette, Louisiana
About the Illustrator Wife, mother, and free-lance artist Linda Boswell has used her creative talents in the home decor and gift industry, merchandising, and graphic design for the past 30 years. She and her husband, Tim, live in Louisiana and have two children. About the Author Kelli Carruth Miller now shepherds her flock in Wyoming, but lived in Louisiana when the events occurred that inspired this story. After 10 years as a Christian educator, Kelli began raising sheep with her family in 2008. This is the first book of a new series, A Sheep-Like Faith, in which the author seeks to expand the understanding of what it means to know and follow Jesus as Shepherd, by equipping 21st century people to better understand what sheep and shepherds are really all about.
