This title provides daily practice for an entire school month. For each of the five vowels there are four worksheets, for a total of twenty daily lessons. Each page is divided into eight sections that focus on such skills as letter sounds, segmenting syllables, reading high frequency words, sounding out CVC words, producing rhymes and more! See the next page for a complete list of the Common Core skills covered on each page. These pages can be used for whole class lessons, small group instruction, independent learning or even for homework review. The sections on each page are numbered so that all of the students are able to follow along and instructions are included in each section so that parents can complete the activities at home with their child. Each page features the same skill in the same place so that, after a few pages, students can complete the pages by themselves. The CVC (Consonant/Vowel/Consonant) words that we feature are: A: bat, can, cat, hatE: hen, jet, pen, tenI: bib, pig, six, wigO: box, dog, mop, potU: bug, bus, cup, sunThe high frequency sight words featured in these pages include: a, can, go, has, have, her, here, I, is, like, my, the, this, see, she, you. Each page also features a color word used in a sentence: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, black, pink, gray. These pages are presented in the alphabetical order of the vowels (a, e, i, o, u). However, teachers may choose to use the pages in any order they wish. If your students are having trouble thinking of a rhyming word for part 7, have them look at the word search section (#5) since rhyming words are hidden there
