From The Forecastle To The Pulpit, Fifty Years Among Sailors: Containing An Account Of A Wonderful Revival Upon The Sea is a book written by Charles J. Jones and first published in 1884. The book describes the author's experiences as a sailor for fifty years, from his early days as a deckhand to his eventual rise to the pulpit as a preacher. The book also contains an account of a remarkable religious revival that took place on board a ship during one of Jones' voyages. The revival was led by Jones himself, who had become a Christian during his time at sea and went on to dedicate his life to spreading the gospel among sailors. Throughout the book, Jones provides insights into the daily life of sailors, their hardships and challenges, and the dangers they faced on the high seas. He also shares his own personal struggles and triumphs, as well as his thoughts on faith, religion, and the role of the church in the lives of sailors. From The Forecastle To The Pulpit is a fascinating and inspiring account of one man's journey from a life at sea to a life of service to God. It offers a unique perspective on the world of sailing and the challenges faced by those who make their living on the water, as well as a powerful message of hope and redemption for all readers. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
