This book is one of a series of three books on the Vedic Tradition dedicated to the younger generation, particularly those of Indian descent living outside India. Others may also benefit from this review of evolution of ideas and practices of Hinduism. This book is a transcript of a series of lectures I gave to help the younger generations, and non-Hindus understand that modern Hinduism, also called Sanātana Dharma or Vedic Religion differs significantly from its earliest forms, which date back more than 2,500-3,000 years. These lectures are structured to help the readers understand the historical sequence of ideas, engage critically with ancient and later texts, appreciate the diversity and evolution within the Hindu tradition and to provide a framework for understanding modern Hindu practices in their historical context.
