The primary focus of this book is the restoration of Christian discipleship as determined by Jesus. It reveals and explores the six requirements that Jesus modeled and stated to His first-century disciples and still requires for His twenty-first-century disciples. It highlights many of the erroneous beliefs and teachings of twenty-first-century religion regarding Christian discipleship. Also included is an analysis of Biblical Christian financial stewardship and its relevance to Christian discipleship.
It begins with the revelation and analysis of the foundation for Christian discipleship, which is agape love, or God's love revealed to and through humanity. It provides the spiritual keys for the restoration of God's power on earth through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. It also reveals and analyzes the required, yet controversial character of fanaticism as was modeled by the first-century disciples of Christ.
As a clarification, in using the controversial term 'fanaticism, ' we are not referencing fanatical religious displays of emotionalism, nor ungodly acts of irrational behavior, nor the ungodly extremism that is often associated with this term. Rather, we are solely and strictly referencing passionate, sacrificial love and devotion in the hearts, souls, and minds of disciples of Christ in their relationships to God and humanity as defined in God's 'Great Commandment' of love. To further clarify, the meaning of 'fanaticism' as used in the context of this writing is, Marked by excessive enthusiasm and intense, uncritical devotion.
