I carried out to investigate factors responsible for stress among working class married women in a hospital using Cornerstone Hospital. A hundred self-administered questionnaires was distributed to randomly select married women working in the hospital comprising 13 doctors, 26 nurses, 8 Pharmacists, 26 administrative staff, 7 medical laboratory personnel, 6 from medical records, 3 form catering department and 11 health attendants. The major and common source of stress pressure points, found in this study include having too much work to do, coping with office politics, supervision of the work of others and having responsibility for same. Other stressors observed also include presence of role ambiguity in nature of work, having to keep up with advances in technology and demand made by work on private/social life. Worrying about hospital's culpability to customers is another source of stress as well as working shifts. (This is prominent for doctors, nurses, catering and medical laboratory staff. Hypothesis testing using X2-square shows that there is significant difference in stress experienced by married women working different schedules in hospital (Hypothesis one). Hypothesis three likewise revealed significant difference in stress and years of working experience at present job. Hypothesis two revealed that there is no significant difference in stress experienced and age.
