Enchanted Wanderer: The Life Of Carl Maria Von Weber is a biography written by Lucy Poate Stebbins. The book tells the story of Carl Maria von Weber, a German composer, pianist, guitarist, and conductor who lived in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The biography traces Weber's life from his birth in 1786 to his death in 1826, exploring his musical career, personal relationships, and the political and cultural context of the time. Weber is known for his contributions to opera, and the book delves into his most famous works, including Der Freischtz and Euryanthe. Stebbins draws on primary sources, including letters and diaries, to paint a vivid picture of Weber's life and personality. She explores his relationships with family members, friends, and colleagues, as well as his struggles with illness and financial difficulties. Enchanted Wanderer: The Life Of Carl Maria Von Weber is a comprehensive and engaging biography that offers insight into the life of an important figure in classical music.
