Empire of Lions tells the saga of a black scientist and his efforts to save himself and his friends from slow genocide and annihilation by a hostile society on earth. A black kid named Devon Wellings, began to look toward the stars for escape from this horrendous situation. The tragic deaths of his mother and sister impacted him horribly, but it was the death of his best friend that drove him to find the answers he sought. The first saga (one in a series of many) will begin with the stories of two women who became friends and who were influential in the two boys' lives. The women were strong enough to survive some of the struggles and hopelessness that surrounded the women. Eventually, the brutality of their lives will claim the women as well as most of the women in the boys' lives.
