The Emerald City of Oz is a classic children's novel written by L. Frank Baum. It is the sixth book in the Oz series and was first published in 1910. The story follows Dorothy Gale and her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry as they are transported to the magical land of Oz.Upon arriving, they discover that the Nome King is plotting to take over the Emerald City and enslave its inhabitants. Dorothy and her friends, including the Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Cowardly Lion, must journey to the Nome King's underground kingdom to stop him.Along the way, they encounter new friends and foes, including the Hungry Tiger and the Queen of the Field Mice. The group must use their wits and bravery to overcome obstacles and save the Emerald City from the Nome King's evil plan. The Emerald City of Oz is a timeless tale of adventure and friendship, filled with whimsical characters and imaginative settings. It continues to captivate readers of all ages and is a beloved classic of children's literature. The Emerald City is built all of beautiful marbles in which are set a profusion of emeralds, every one exquisitely cut and of very great size. There are other jewels used in the decorations inside the houses and palaces, such as rubies, diamonds, sapphires, amethysts and turquoises. But in the streets and upon the outside of the buildings only emeralds appear, from which circumstance the place is named the Emerald City of Oz.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
