At an abandoned defense site hiding untouched Azorian blueprints and files, the base self-destructs under attack Prime extracts the team, but the documents vanish replaced by a note suggesting he borrowed them. With Navy carrier support, they locate the sub and its advanced weapons in a hidden Western Maryland facility, extract it via Potomac tunnels, and escape a fierce pursuit by elite U.S. units, reaching Norfolk Naval Shipyard to find their missing files restored alongside a cryptic clue: Vanderbilt and Cuba.

Prime sends them to One Vanderbilt, where they raid a concealed CIA office and seize classified 55 & Cuba records, sparking a Marine chase and a gateway cascade that deposits them in Fidel Castro's office.
