The Dog and Its Dead Owner is a book with poetry and fables, in which the author leads us to the magical world of animals and objects, acting as humans, thus leading us to natural conclusions about our own life. Tanya G. Guleria with great imagination tells us stories about djinns and kings, cubes of ice and even the story of a scarecrow, craving for friends. Her poetry also shows unexpectable originality in the way of thinking and expression: for example a woman, growing beard as a metaphor of the part of women in our society, a person in front of death, who needs soul transplantation, etc.. She speaks of friendship, love, compassion, freedom, fear, greed, vanity, getting old and keeping your eternal values untouched and of course of God, but not the god of a certain religion, but the real one...
