Dhul-Qarnayn is no longer studied merely as a ruler from the distant past. His conduct becomes a model for anyone entrusted with authority, wealth, knowledge, family, institutions, public responsibility, or influence. The central principle is clear: every means is entrusted, every achievement is temporary, every ruler remains a servant, and the promise of Allah is true.
Dhul-Qarnayn possesses extraordinary power, yet he does not treat power as entitlement. He understands leadership as amānah-a trust for which the servant will answer before Allah.
He judges with justice.
He protects the vulnerable.
He listens to people who possess little worldly influence.
He refuses to exploit fear for personal gain.
He mobilizes communities rather than keeping them dependent.
And when extraordinary success comes, he does not glorify himself.
He says:
This is a mercy from my Lord.
