How can someone so inept get their own story? Knights, wizards, and others of remarkable stock have spent lifetimes trying to get bards to tell their tales across the realms, and this idiot gets his told? It's scandalous, preposterous, and an affront to all things just and good.

Anyways, this is the story of Phillip Cassidy, who has the nerve to want to refer to himself as Declan Bartholomew, a famed adventurer extraordinaire. He is a human from Earth with no extraordinary abilities, who just happens to find himself taken to Tuuras, a realm full of magic, mystical energy, and people who regard him as special. He is a fraud and a charlatan, and the good people of Tuuras deserve better. The allies who travel with him believe him to be far greater than he actually is, so much so that they stake the fate of the realm on him. Ridiculous decisions, combined with foolish shenanigans and a dash of dumb luck await Declan and his allies in this tale of misadventure.
