Findley arrives in Scotland by train and is greeted by Alexander, a friendly golden dog, who invites him to join the Highland Games. After helping untangle goats during a tug of war and judging a hilarious haggis pie tossing contest, he meets Ali, the pie making the beaver, Findley enjoys a lively ceilidh of music, dance and stories of Nessie.
The next day, Alexander and Findley travel to Loch Ness, where they meet Callum the riddle speaking otter and Rorrie the heron, captain of a boat. By solving Nessie's riddle, they discover a glowing cave filled with carvings, whispers of guardians, and a chest with a message: To those who listen and learn, the Highlands reveal their heart.
Their adventure continues across castles, moors, and mountains. With the help of animals, Findley saves the piper's music, climbs Ben Nevis and plays magical bagpipes to reveal a hidden path. At the summit, he finds a golden threaded map leading to the Isle of Carra, where Christie the puffin and two mystical kelpies present another riddle. By answering time, Findley earns a glowing compass that guides them to the secret Heart Glen in the Cairngorms.
At the glen, a stone pillar offers Findley a choice - to take a crown and become the Keeper of Highland Lore, or leave it so the Highlands' magic remains free. Findley chooses the wild, proving that true adventure lies not in crowns, but in courage, friendship and stories.
As the dawn breaks, the wind hints of new adventures across the sea. This time in Canada.
Findley sails across the Atlantic to Canada, arriving first in Halifax before travelling westward by train. Along the way, he marvels at the vastness of the country - its mountains, forests, lakes and endless coastlines. In Quebec and Hudson Bay, he meets Oliver, a fox pup, who becomes his guide and companion. Together, they discover that Canada is not only enormous but also full of stories, friendships and natural wonders.
Their journey takes them to many magical and meaningful places.
The Ice Caves near Hudson Bay, glowing with blue light and ancient carvings, where the land seems to whisper its stories.
Quebec's maple forests, where they meet Emily the raccoon, who helps them uncover the mystery of the Heart Tree and create a Maple Memory Blend syrup filled with history.
A River Rescue, where Findley, Oliver, and a young beaver named Rodders work together to survive rapids and deliver medicine to a ranger station, guided by the wise lynx, Mette.
The Beaver Builders, where Findley learns how beavers reshape landscapes and create homes for countless creatures.
The Bear and the Blueberries, where they rescue Scott, a lost bear, and help him return home, reminding him of family and belonging.
At last, Findley returns home, placing two carvings on his shelf. A thistle for Scotland and a maple leaf for Canada. These are not just souvenirs, but symbols of courage, kindness, friendship and the stories of two great lands. He falls asleep with a smile, knowing the world is vast, magical and full of adventures waiting to be discovered.
