This book chronicles the transformation of Jim, a new Canadian immigrant, from an anxious new newcomer to a prosperous and enterprising Canadian citizen.
Jim experiences frustration, setbacks, and sleepless nights as he struggles to find meaningful employment during his initial months in Canada. Jim is overwhelmed with the adjustments he has to make, coupled with his inability to understand the Canadian way of life.
Luckily, Jim meets Dave, a successful businessman who had also immigrated to Canada previously. Dave teaches Jim to look at Canadian settlement struggles through a different lens. He helps Jim find meaning, resilience, and fulfilment in his pursuit to settle his family and succeed in Canada.
