-At Delhi, the ostensible and emblematic; authority had a place with the Emperor Bahadur Shah, however the genuine order lay with a Court of Soldiers headed by General Bakht Khan who had driven the revolt of the Bareilly troops and conveyed them to Delhi. - In the British armed force, Bakht Khan was a customary subedar of mounted guns. -Bakht Khan spoke to the well known and conventional component at the central command of the Revolt. -After the British control of Delhi in September 1857, Bakht Khan went to Lucknow and kept on battling the British till he kicked the bucket in a fight on 13 May 1859. -The Emperor Bahadur Shah was maybe the weakest connection in the chain of authority of the Revolt.
