This dissertation explores the communicative vulnerabilities that hinder the effective dissemination of health messages during epidemics in the Miti-Murhesa health zone. Through a mixed approach combining qualitative and quantitative methods, the study reveals that socio-cultural and economic factors amplify the obstacles to effective communication, leading to a deficit of trust in official messages. Traditional beliefs and misinformation emerge as major challenges, exacerbated by economic insecurity and low levels of education. To overcome these difficulties, it is essential to promote anti-disinformation campaigns and establish community relays to reinforce trust and adherence to public health messages.
