Children of the Founder is a fantasy novel based on the relatively unexplored Slavic mythology, in which the author plays with various Slavic myths, enriching them with imagination and elements from European history.

The palace, situated by the sea, is heavily fortified from the west, north, and east. Troubles in the empire are expected to come from the mainland. Raids by nomadic tribes twelve years ago left their mark on all four kingdoms, and the wounds are still visible. The times of constructing secure palaces and unfortified cities are a thing of the past. The economic situation in the empire is extremely unstable.

The novel is adorned with numerous characters and interconnected adventures and stories - the Founder as the secular and spiritual source of the empire, Rugovit of Volos, Emperor Dispalatian, Anselmo of Luisburg, empires that have fallen and risen again in dark and bloody wars, barbarian invasions, hidden history revealed like a buried ancient mosaic, splendid armour and swords, the magnificent shining city of Svarog, the cities of Spalatin and Zara, military alliances, and political intrigues, the eternal hope for the triumph of good... These are just some of the reasons why you won't be able to put this novel down...
