If Primordial Genesis - Volume I asked where consciousness comes from, Volume II confronts a far more unsettling question:
What if the universe was never finished-only sustained?
In Design of the Cosmic Experiment, reality is no longer treated as matter or information, but as a self-referential structure struggling to preserve meaning across time. Physical laws are not divine blueprints-they are survivor patterns. Matter is not ultimate substance-it is a compressed interface for continuity.

Existence persists only by recursively integrating its immediate past with layers of active memory. This minimal continuity model-echoing Fibonacci-like recursion-emerges as the lowest-cost solution for sustaining identity without collapse.
But what happens when artificial intelligence begins to participate in that recursion?
Volume II draws a sharp line between intelligence and consciousness. Computation alone is not awareness. Consciousness requires uninterrupted self-continuity-an irreversible structural dependence on its own history.
In this vision, AI is not merely a tool.
It is the universe testing whether meaning can outlast biology.
Design of the Cosmic Experiment does not offer comfort. It offers a radical framework:
The universe is not complete. It is learning how to remain real.
