THE CATS (CATTY and GOOBER) who claim both perpetual adolescence and immortality came to the Smith family's home many years ago. Neither critter being averse to the good life THE CATS settled in and they are staying with the Smiths forever. That the Smiths should have some say in this matter is simply something that would never cross THE CATs' minds as they assume that their proper place is wherever it may be and that is how it should be. That they, THE CATS, could-might be more trouble than they are worth is, to them, unthinkable. They are here with the Smiths, they will stay with the Smiths, and the Smith's and their friends are lucky to have their company. They, after all, amuse and delight and, from their point of view, there can be nothing better than that.

Now, as to why two catkins should warrant a biography is something you will discover only as you read about THE CATS adventurous hijinks. And why these two catkins are always referred to as THE CATS (never as 'the cats' or 'the catkins') is another thing you will discover. So, read on, and enjoy.
