Dynasties Of Love Book One TWO WORLDS. TWO HEARTS. ONE CHOICE.
Claire Bennett thought moving from Texas to Shanghai would be the adventure of a lifetime.
What she never expected was to find love.
On her first night in a city that feels too big and unfamiliar, Claire meets Li Wei - a kind, charming stranger who helps her when she is lost and welcomes her into his tiny apartment above a laundromat. With a broken fridge, cheap noodles, and a life that seems wonderfully ordinary, Wei is everything she never knew she was looking for.
He is humble.
He is thoughtful.
He makes her feel seen.
But Wei is hiding something.
A secret bigger than Claire could ever imagine.
Because the man she fell in love with is not just a simple guy living a quiet life. He is the heir to the Li family - one of China's most powerful and wealthy families, owners of luxury hotels, jewellery brands, and a business empire built across generations.
When a sweet photo of them accidentally exposes their relationship, Claire is pulled into Wei's world overnight.
A world of wealth, tradition, expectations, and a family who believes she does not belong.
His mother welcomes her with a smile that hides a warning. Conversations happen around her in a language she doesn't understand. His perfect former girlfriend returns, reminding Claire of everything she thinks she can never be.
And then comes the final blow:
You are not enough for this family. Do not waste your time.
Heartbroken, Claire makes the hardest choice of her life.
She chooses herself.
She returns home to Texas, believing their love was never meant to survive between two worlds.
But Wei finally understands that the life he was given is not the life he has to live.
Crossing the world to find her, he arrives with his mother's engagement ring and one promise:
He did not come because his family approved.
He came because he chooses her.
A story of love, family, culture, and finding where you truly belong, The Boy From The Noodle Shop is a heartfelt romance about choosing the person who sees you before the world knows your name.
