A messy, addictive college romance about two people who were never supposed to fall in love.
An Arrangement. A Rule. A Love They Never Saw Coming.Everyone on campus knows Jaxon Reed.
Star hockey player. Campus heartbreaker. Professional commitment-phobe.
And everyone overlooks Lila Carter.
Quiet honors student. Works two jobs. Never had a boyfriend. Never even been close.
They should have nothing in common.
But after one accidental late-night study session turns into undeniable tension, Jaxon makes her an offer:
No strings.
No labels.
No feelings.
He'll give her experience.
She'll help him survive senior year without another clingy relationship disaster.
And when it's over... they walk away.
Simple.
Until it isn't.
Because somewhere between secret hookups, midnight diner runs, and falling asleep tangled together in his bed, Jaxon starts wanting things he's never wanted before.
Her.
Only her.
Terrified by how hard he's falling, he proposes something reckless:
The Assignment.
If they hook up with other people, it'll kill whatever feelings are forming between them.
Except Jaxon can't go through with it.
Every girl he touches isn't Lila.
And Lila?
She completes the assignment.
When she tells him the truth, it shatters them both.
Heartbroken and terrified of how deeply she's fallen for the one guy who promised he'd never love her, Lila walks away for good.
But Jaxon refuses to lose her.
Not when he's finally realized she's the love of his life.
Not when she's carrying a secret neither of them expected.
Now he has one chance to prove he's more than the campus player everyone thinks he is.
One chance to convince her that maybe messy love is still real love.
And maybe-just maybe-they deserve forever.
