This novel is a continuation of the Borrowed Stardust Series, focusing on Victoria Mason and Henry Harris's adventures through time, taking on historical personas and navigating complex political intrigues. Victoria Mason inherits a magical amulet necklace allowing her to shapeshift into any person by using their photograph and an incantation, gaining their appearance, thoughts, and voice, and even enabling time travel when touching another person during her shift. She meets and marries Detective Henry Harris, who also uses the amulet to shift into historical figures. Victoria and Henry travel to Nassau during the Golden Age of Piracy, adopting disguises to blend in. Henry becomes the pirate Edward Teach (Blackbeard), while Victoria assumes the role of the noblewoman, Lady Eleanor Ainsworth. They navigate the dangerous pirate-infested waters and political intrigue of the era. Henry, as Blackbeard, learns of a secret pact involving rival pirates and foreign powers aiming to destabilize the Caribbean and eliminate Blackbeard. Victoria uncovers documents revealing a conspiracy to trap and kill Blackbeard, indicating a deeper geopolitical plot. Henry is captured and sentenced to execution, but Victoria creates a diversion and saves him. Victoria and Henry pursue a legendary Spanish treasure fleet rumored to carry Aztec gold imbued with spiritual power and a dangerous curse. Victoria and Henry are then transported through time to ancient Rome in 44 BC, just before Julius Caesar's assassination. Henry assumes the role of Julius Caesar. He faces the plot by Brutus and Cassius. Victoria infiltrates the Temple of Vesta as a Vestal Virgins. Cleopatra of Egypt plays a role, engaging with Victoria to understand Rome's political landscape and protect Egypt's interests amid the looming turmoil. Victoria learns through her network and envoys that the assassination plot against Caesar is part of a larger conspiracy orchestrated. Will they make it home safely? Does Henry die on the Ides of March when Caesar is assassinated?
