Ruth did the biggest NO-NO when she got pregnant at 16 years old. Her pregnancy didn't fit into her mother's holier-than-thou lifestyle. Oddly enough, her mother is not as Holy as she believes. Ruth's mother Cheryl has created a persona of being oh so Holy, but she is just the opposite, and she just pulled the church right into her foolishness.
Once Cheryl got wind of Ruth's pregnancy, she gave Ruth the option to either give the baby up or leave her house. Cheryl dare not let a teen pregnancy ruin her good name at the church. Ruth is only 16-years old when she finds herself homeless and has to have a hard lesson of who has her back. She has to pick up the pieces all while she is trying to figure out her life. While trying to stay in Cheryl's good graces and keep Ruth's respect, Ruth's father becomes the mediator and sends Ruth to live with an old friend. Even in Ruth's mess, God still shows her favor by giving her a newfound family.
