The Book of Revelation: Revealing the Salvation of God is a profound exploration of God's ultimate plan for humanity, unveiling the depths of His redemptive work through Jesus Christ. This commentary emphasizes Revelation's central message: the inspired disclosure of God as the loving Father, whose purpose to redeem and restore His creation is fulfilled in Christ and culminates in His eternal Kingdom. The essence of this work is to highlight how the Father's glory is revealed in the victorious redemption plan accomplished through His Son by the Holy Spirit.
This new edition seeks to illuminate the Father's redemptive plan, emphasizing His call for all to embrace the everlasting Gospel and worship Him through the salvation found in Christ. The Book of Revelation is not merely a prophecy of future events; it is a living testimony to the hope, joy, and assurance granted to believers as they live faithfully in anticipation of Christ's return.
This work approaches the Book of Revelation from a spiritual and idealist perspective, focusing on the Father's sovereignty, Christ's triumph, and the Spirit's transformative work. It aims to shift the focus from symbols of judgment and darkness to the radiant hope and assurance that Christ's victory has already been secured. Revelation's ultimate call is to fix our eyes on the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13), anchoring believers in the unshakable foundation of God's Kingdom. This commentary aims to inspire readers to find strength and peace in the assurance of God's love and the fulfillment of His promises.
In the Coptic Orthodox Church, the entire Book of Revelation is read during the vigil of Bright Saturday, immediately following Good Friday. This tradition emphasizes its role as the ultimate testament to the Father's redemptive work accomplished through Christ's life, death, and resurrection. Viewing Revelation in the light of the Resurrection enables the Church to affirm its profound message of triumph, renewal, and salvation, which is central to the Gospel of hope.
It is our prayer that this commentary draws each reader closer to the Father, inspiring faith and courage while revealing the eternal truths of Revelation. May it serve as a guide to live in the assurance of God's Kingdom, rejoicing in His redemptive plan and embracing the call to proclaim His Good News to the world.
