For those interested in the excellence that a chess education holds. When faced with the study of chess, it is hard to know just where to begin. The Home Study Program, produced in 1989, points you in that direction. Although some claim that the nine textbooks suggested in the program are a bit antiquated by today's standards, they still contain many valuable lessons toward the path of chess mastery. Most are indispensable masterpieces, but a few do contain some typo's which can present the student with the challenge of finding the right move order. Aside from this, the best way to study chess still remains with the by the book method. Updated or more recent editions of the suggested texts can be found online and can be substituted for the original. Good luck in your chess journey!
