The mystical land of Vejabe has been at peace for five years after the Great War. King Afromedus Jivewalker, the winner of the Great War, has mostly been in seclusion since his victory that came at a great cost of life in Vejabe. Vejabe has six domains, of which five are led by Lords who all serve under the King. Many of these domains were at war with one another, and Vejabe's treaty resolution to end the war was met with great disapproval by many leaders and their citizens. The disapproval of the treaty has left Vejabe vulnerable to corruption and sabotage.
One of the domain's lords that is taking advantage of the dismay is the cunning, persuasive, and dangerous Killian Enigmus. Killian, Afromedus's nemesis, has been plotting during the five years of peace on how to end it and, in doing so, overthrow the king. Killian, with the help of his reliable and powerful subordinate Zayna, has put their plot into motion to destroy the peace and end the king's reign.
