A Cry for Cuba: End the Embargo Now is a collection of vignettes in free verse calling for political action to lift the economic blockade on the Cuban people. Original photography accompanies the verse. This insightful and humane slender book attempts to portray the beautiful and benevolent character of those being victimized by this crushing policy which has actually supported communism. Let us end the embargo, then get out of the way, so that the Cuban government, and the people of both our countries can begin an era of healing and self-determination. After half a century, diplomatic relations are finally being reestablished and there is a fragment of optimism for cooperation between the two nations. However, this initiative could stall for years, subject to partisan politics unless it is driven forward by your voice in the form of public opinion.
