The greatest desire for Arkell and Dana Graves was to have a family. After 1 stillborn birth and 4 total miscarriages, their hearts were shattered. But God still had plans to make them a family. They were blessed to become a family through adoption in 2002. Both Arkell and Dana were present for the birth of their son Keelyn. Their hearts were full. But God was not yet finished growing their family.
In 2015, Dana felt 'off' and discovered that she was already 18 weeks pregnant! Overjoyed with the news, she recorded Arkell's reaction on video. Their 'Buns in the Oven' video went viral on YouTube reaching over 13 million views.
Dana was hospitalized just a few weeks later and went into labor less than 23 weeks into her pregnancy. Their miracle son Kaleb affectionately known as BabyBuns, was born at only 13 ounces after being given less than a 1% chance of survival. God continued to pour into this family during uncertain times for their micro-preemie Kaleb. The BabyBuns Community on Facebook took to action lifting up Kaleb in prayer through every medical procedure and complication. Thousands of people around the world prayed for BabyBuns.
