That is the design, not evasion. Books in this area almost always have a preferred answer built in, and a reader who wants the other one ends up arguing with the book instead of getting help. Two chapters near the end cover the two paths separately, so you can use the one that applies without being told the other was better.
No case studies, no couples exercises, no scriptureIt is not a memoir. There is no composite couple who worked it out over eighteen months of expensive therapy. There are no exercises for the two of you to do together, and nobody here will tell you what your vows require of you now. Front matter carries current domestic abuse and crisis helpline numbers for the United States and the United Kingdom, checked in September 2026.
