Ten Months In A German Raider: A Prisoner Of War Aboard The Wolf (1918) is a memoir written by John Stanley Cameron, a Canadian sailor who was captured by the German navy during World War I. The book details his experiences as a prisoner of war aboard the German raider, the SMS Wolf, for ten months. Cameron describes the conditions aboard the ship, including the cramped living quarters, meager rations, and lack of medical care. He also recounts the various ports the Wolf visited during its mission to disrupt Allied shipping, and the interactions he had with the crew and other prisoners. The book provides a unique perspective on the war, as Cameron was not a soldier but rather a civilian sailor who was caught up in the conflict. It also sheds light on the little-known history of German naval raiders during the war, which were designed to disrupt Allied supply lines and commerce. Overall, Ten Months In A German Raider: A Prisoner Of War Aboard The Wolf (1918) is a fascinating and informative account of one man's experience as a prisoner of war during World War I.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
