Zenia the Vestal or the Problem of Vibrations is a novel written by Margaret B. Peeke. The book is set in ancient Rome and follows the story of Zenia, a young woman who is chosen to become a Vestal Virgin, a priestess of the goddess Vesta. Zenia is initially excited about her new role, but soon discovers that being a Vestal Virgin is not as glamorous as she thought. She is isolated from her family and friends, and must remain celibate for thirty years. As Zenia struggles to adapt to her new life, she begins to experience strange vibrations that she cannot explain. She becomes convinced that these vibrations are a sign from the gods, and sets out on a quest to discover their meaning. Along the way, she meets a variety of characters, including a handsome soldier and a wise old philosopher, who help her to unravel the mystery of the vibrations. Zenia the Vestal or the Problem of Vibrations is a thought-provoking novel that explores themes of spirituality, sexuality, and the search for meaning in life. It is a compelling read for anyone interested in ancient Rome or the human condition.1893.
