Sam was a quiet kid from The Projects. Really they were the slums left over from the initial rebuilding after the failed invasion. Sam was arrested for murder and after a drawn out show trial he was facing the death penalty. Mandatory testing temporarily saved him from the death sentence. He is one of a small number whose bodies can accept the training and nannites necessary to make him a fighting machine. His only hope now is to enter the Marine training program. Complete that training and become a Marine. Fail and either be sent off world never to return again or face execution.
