For more than four decades, Darrell Madden has built a steadfast and highly respected reputation as one of North America's most accomplished hunters.

Darrell's trophy room features moose, caribou, black bear, elk, mountain lion and countless deer. However, it is his passion for turkey hunting that has elevated his status to legendary. With 63 National Wild Turkey Federation Grand Slams, two Royal Slams, two World Slams and more than 250 birds recorded in the NWTF record books-including two in the world's top five-Darrell has earned his place among the greatest turkey hunters of all time.

As you read Waitin' on Daylight, you'll feel like one of Darrell's huntin' pals gathered around a campfire as he shares more than 30 wild, funny, and interesting stories from a lifetime in the woods, including:

  • The time a bear almost stepped on him.
  • The time he got the inspiration for his line of turkey calls.
  • The time he tried to fill his own tooth on a hunt.
  • The time he crossed paths with a woman who practiced witchcraft.
Waitin' on Daylight is Darrell's story, told the way it was lived, one sunrise (and unforgettable adventure) at a time.
