G. Burns Hamilton served as an army engineer officer in the Canadian Army and as an Assistant Professor at the Royal Military College of Canada. He has also been a lecturer at both McGill and Concordia universities. Burns has been Canada's representative on NATO's Civil Aviation Planning Committee and Planning Board for Ocean Shipping. The consulting company that he founded and led for twenty-nine years, Sypher, has advised governments and agencies in eighty countries, including Russia, Thailand and Myanmar. He is the author of the 2024 novel, Conflicts, an action-adventure set in Africa. Burns lives in Ottawa, Ontario
