A joyful kindergarten trip to the zoo becomes a gentle lesson about big feelings, trusted adults, and the courage to ask for help.
Charlie can hardly wait for her class trip to the zoo. She carefully packs her water bottle, headphones, and favorite soft bunny before joining her classmates for an exciting day of discovery.
At the zoo, Charlie encounters towering giraffes, beautiful flamingos, a proud peacock, playful elephants, and funny waddling penguins. Everything feels wonderful-until the crowd grows larger, everyone begins talking at once, and the noise starts to feel too big.
Charlie's heart beats quickly. She feels frightened and overwhelmed, but her caring teacher, Miss Lily, notices. Miss Lily takes Charlie to a quiet bench, helps her breathe slowly, and reminds her that asking for help is a brave thing to do.
Once Charlie feels calm again, she returns to the adventure. She watches a baby elephant splash in the water, shares lunch with her friends, and laughs at the playful penguins.
Charlie Visits the Zoo is a warm and reassuring picture book that helps children understand that overwhelming feelings can pass, calming strategies can help, and trusted adults are there to support them.
