In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Seventeen words in the original Greek, written some ninety years after Bethlehem by an old apostle who had walked beside the Man they describe - and every one of them a claim that changes everything.
THE WORD is an eleven-chapter Bible study built entirely around John's opening declaration, tracing what Scripture itself reveals about the identity of Jesus Christ: His eternity, His personal distinction from the Father, His full deity, His work as Creator, and His incarnation as the Word made flesh. From there the study turns to the witnesses - Christ's own testimony about Himself, the united voice of the apostles across the New Testament, and the climactic moment when a doubting disciple named Thomas finally falls before the risen Christ and says the only words left to say: My Lord and my God.
Written in flowing narrative prose rather than dense academic argument, and grounded throughout in the King James Version, THE WORD is designed for the reader who wants both a firm doctrinal foundation and a study that draws the heart toward worship rather than merely informing the mind. Each short chapter builds on the last, moving from eternity past to the promise of Christ's return, and closing with a clear, Scripture-saturated presentation of the Gospel itself - the necessity of salvation, the means God has provided, the steps of response, and the settled assurance that belongs to everyone who has placed their trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
