This story quickly captures your attention with its witty rhymes as well as its bright and vivid colors. All the jungle animals always tip toed by the dark cave. They thought the lion inside the cave was mean and crabby. They did not know the real him, nor did they try to get to know him. Not until a kookaburra bird named Mint falls from a tree and lands in front his cave. The bird thought he was going to be the lion's lunch, but to his surprise the lion was friendly! He was a Doctor that took care of him. He was with him as the sun was setting to make sure he was alright. This story communicates a great life lesson to young readers to not judge a book by its cover. Come to find out as they build their relationship, they are both musicians!
