Davin Havermak is a Coterie Airborne Angel, an elite search and rescue operator. To everyone's surprise, one of the pirates turns out to be Davin's ex-girlfriend, Pheo. She claims she was forced into fighting for the pirates and wants to escape with them. Davin is the only one who believes her. He tries to keep the group moving forward and help his old flame, but division and distrust abound. As the journey turns perilous and infighting pushes the survivors to the breaking point, Davin begins to realize that Pheo will either be their salvation or their doom.
