Dystopian (Sci-fi) Thriller with twists and turns!
A vengeful scientist has been brainwashing New America's unsuspecting all-female society for years in an attempt to destroy her enemy--the man who took her newborn child eighteen years ago. But when the girl she believes to be her long-lost daughter gets caught up in the resulting wave of negative public opinion, those whose minds haven't been swayed may be her only hope.
*** Waverly's covert Adrays have helped create two opposing societies--one, an all-female thelytoky east of the Mississippi River border, and the other a traditional patriarchy to the west. When Waverly's most trusted employee admits she and her husband from across the border are pregnant (a shocking scandal-in-the-making if the baby is a boy) Waverly sets loose a special Adrays program just for her, meant to teach all women still interested in men a lesson. Meanwhile, Kat Buford, the very teen Waverly believes to be her long-lost daughter, has plans of her own. On her eighteenth birthday, she sets off for a secret rendezvous with Jordan, her telepathic friend from across the border. Enroute, the two teens-in-love suffer parallel fates as a result of Waverly's artificially-created cognitive dissonance. Now, no one can control what will happen... not even Waverly. --Contains content about sexual assault and male torture.
This book was written prior to the 2020 plague, described in the novel. It's a satirical look at America, as envisioned in the 1990's.
