About the Author
A graduate of Princeton University and Georgetown Law School, Michael Hays is a lawyer and a former Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia. He has investigated and tried numerous criminal cases. An avid science fiction fan, he has been a member of the Science Fiction Book of the Month Club since he was seven years old. He is an enthusiastic adventure traveler, having climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, visited a tribe of former headhunters in Borneo, scuba dived off the Great Barrier Reef, visited the headwaters of the Amazon River, trekked in Nepal, and biked in Bhutan.
A resident of the District of Columbia and Spring Island, South Carolina, Michael is married to a wonderful woman (also a lawyer) and has two terrific daughters, one a urologist and one a prosecutor. When he is not writing, he loves to play tennis and golf.
