A Walker Trilogy: Three to Read on Walker Mountain is a compilation of stories set in different times during the lives of the Walker families-the 1900s, 1949, and 2013. They recount the Walkers' struggles to raise children, find happiness, and keep their faith.
The Walker women prevailed over losses and challenges while their men served God and America, through inventions, music, and the sacrifices of military service. The stirring stories rekindle memories of harmonicas, poetry, and circle letters. Recently found decades-old recordings of family music have been preserved and recorded for current generations to enjoy.
As for their letters, they were the electronic mail of nearly a century of Walker writings. The WWW (wild Walker women), with adventurous spirits, preceded the other www-the World Wide Web. Every family has their stories and traditions; if you ever meet a WWW, she will bless you with a bit of music, a poem, some storytelling, tea on a back porch, a sumptuous meal, a lap quilt, or a horse ride.
A Walker Trilogy ties together the strength of past generations of the Walker family with the promise of the newer generations of their clan. These intimate family stories offer an excellent opportunity to observe human strengths, perseverance, and the refusal to succumb to defeats throughout the decades.
