This continues after the temporal reset that occurred at the end of the Void Shaper book. It is partially a reboot of the earlier series and will include events from the first three books, but it will also include significant changes.
With the help of Taytum Maunch, a temporally displaced 14-year-old Mauron (snake-haired alien), they have to carefully navigate the events of the previous time loop, trying to avoid the mistakes made last time while doing what they must to survive.
The problem is that with everything they change, the current reality diverges more and more from what Taytum remembered. Also, all of her memories are only indirect memories, and from the point of view of a 14-year-old alien... Lots of the important details are missing.
