After her divorce, Polly Nichols moved into an RV in her hometown of Frankfort, Kentucky. She loves the peaceful campground by the river, even though her best friend disapproves. But the tranquility of the close-knit community is shattered when the manager is found dead in his camper. Though shocked by the manner of his death, no one really misses the foul-tempered man, including Polly. And no one feels personally concerned, until the accidents begin. Is a murderer loose in their riverside paradise? Sheriff Jim Murray is having a disturbing summer. Until now nothing much ever happened on his watch, but the year is only half over and already he has three murders to deal with. Besides that, his disastrous track record with women has escalated. But is he about to find out why he has that problem? The 'coincidental' incidents at the campsite are getting more dangerous. Will Jim find the killer in time to salvage the future for his childhood friend Polly? And himself?
