Voyage of the Liberdade is a memoir written by Joshua Slocum, originally published in 1890. The book chronicles Slocum's journey across the Atlantic Ocean in a small sloop named the Liberdade. Slocum was a skilled sailor and had previously circumnavigated the globe, but this voyage was particularly harrowing. The Liberdade was damaged in a storm and Slocum and his crew were forced to abandon ship. They spent over a month adrift in a lifeboat before being rescued by a passing ship. The book is a thrilling account of survival at sea and a testament to Slocum's incredible seamanship. In addition to the story of the voyage, Slocum also includes descriptions of the places he visited along the way, including Brazil and the Azores. The book is a classic of seafaring literature and remains popular among sailing enthusiasts today. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
