Dylan, only 18, has spent most of his life becoming the ultimate warrior, a master of armed and unarmed combat, killing his best friend to prove it. However, instead of leading raids against Midgard's enemies, his clan chief puts him on Sleipnir, a massive armed space-liner dedicated to peaceful trade. To make matters worse, he's to serve as 'Magistrate', head of security, and charged with keeping order. Bound by an oath made by his father before he was born, Dylan has been pledged to settle a score. He has to find a way to fulfill that vow, for it's the reason he is: A dagger for vengeance. Created out of hate, forged in the fires of hell, and aimed at a man he never met. Along the way he'll deal with criminals on board, pirates, and a raven haired fighter pilot sworn to, 'Fly free, and wash the heavens clean with the blood of the Viking.' She stirs him as no other; even as she makes it plain she despises him for his Viking past. Despite the distractions, he's determined to find Justice - the Viking way.
