Inspired by research on solar radiation management, Papageorgiou mixes beach gear with weather reports to unmask the cycle of rest and regeneration
Pitting a burgeoning tourism industry against the depletion of natural resources, Greek artist Vasilis Papageorgiou (born 1991) employs sunbeds, solar panels and copper-plated beach towels into an installation that offers a middle ground to where pleasure meets preservation.
