Venus born private investigator and ex-con, Munro, is knee-deep in the wildest murder case of his career. Munro's investigations among desolate, broken streets are filled with tragic and interminable crimes that often take him to dark places in an already haunting future world. His latest case is no exception. Dorothea Fleming, the wife of a renowned yet secretive scientist, seeks answers as to why her late husband, Dr. Harold Fleming and his colleagues are dying under seemingly random circumstances. The further Munro digs, however, the more he begins to learn that these are anything but lethal cases of 'bad luck'. Munro utilizes every shady character who owes him a favor from Earth to Venus itself to unravel the bizarre circumstances surrounding Dr. Fleming and his team. None of them can stop his world from being further turned upside down, however, when Munro lends an all-too-willing hand to a mysterious and ravishingly beautiful stranger named, Jolien. She's on the run from a life of control and enslavement and bringing even more chaos -and heat- into Munro's already turbulent life. Now they're both being hunted by the local authorities, killer androids and brainwashed zombies, facing off against one of the world's most powerful corporations and forced to stop a mad man from destroying Earth, and quite possibly existence itself - forever.
