A couple find an unusual baby girl in a Russian forest and immediately face a tough decision whether to keep the baby or notify the Russian government. Propelled by love and compassion, they, with the help of an influential but shady man, emigrate to the States to protect the girl from the Russian government experimenting on her.
The girl, Olesya, grows up to be a brilliant scientist involved in a major discovery. She learns her discovery may lead to the world's destruction if it ends up in the wrong hands. Her discovery attracts the attention of others who appear to be like her and claim to have noble intentions. Mysterious visions link her to the others in and catastrophic world events force her to join the new group to prevent a Russian dictator from annihilating the world. While protecting the world, she sacrifices a part of herself, suffers an identity crisis, and creates something new, a daughter, Emery.
Olesya learns of mysterious chambers scattered around the world and her visions return to haunt her, until she opens them and learns their secrets, wishing she hadn't. Because the message she receives shakes her world once again and she must now sacrifice her life and venture into a dark dimension to prevent the world from destruction. Worse yet, Emery, Olesya's daughter, must follow in her mother's footsteps and disappear into the dark dimension because as the only being who can travel where no one else can to restore balance to the universe and return with an extraordinary gift for humanity. But powerful entities have reasons to keep the gift away from humanity and will do anything to stop her.
