In the idyllic Shropshire village of Myndham life flows gently on, much as it has for generations. But every so often an outside threat intrudes to disrupt this peaceful existence, stirring the villagers to action using their countryman's guile and deviousness to defend their rural way of life.

Colonel Richard Plantage has wealth and leisure at his fingertips but his sense of duty compels him to put his life and career on the line in a fight for justice. He has a score to settle and he's prepared to break the rules to get even. The ensuing clash at Westminster between honour and politics contrasts sharply with everyday life at his home in rural Shropshire where the villagers are more concerned with lost childhood sweethearts, high drama at the pub and hit-and-run assaults by a four-legged newcomer. And what unseen enemy will pursue the Colonel even in this oasis of peace?

TWO WAYS OF LIFE A WORLD APART COLLIDE IN THE COLONEL'S LAST CAMPAIGN.

An unashamedly rose-tinted view of traditional British life set in the beautiful Shropshire hills. The first in a series of gently humorous and mildly dramatic adventures as the lives of farmers, pub regulars, occupants of the Big House and the occasional outsider conspire to amuse and surprise.
